Job description
1) Demand Forecasting:

– Forecasting the demand requirement for the business of BIC Cello by using data sources such as historical sales trends, statistical Modelling, POS data and cross functional (Sales, Marketing, Finance) inputs

– Draft proposals to determine sell in, sell through and cannibalization projections, collaborated with cross functional teams to reach consensus on operational demand forecast

– Present the sales and statistical forecasts performance reports at aggregate as well as item level in Sales Operations Planning (SOP) meetings. Contribute to future development of Sales and Operations Planning process

2) Demand Fulfilment:

– Co-ordinate with Supply to ensure effective inventory management and customer service

– Help tune the forecasts and inventory rules according to the demand and market trends

3) System Maintenance:

– Manage and maintain Demand Planning Software as primary forecasting system tool

– Manage demand planning inputs in the tool such as adjusting statistical models allocation on current trend analysis, sales and marketing activity monitoring and historical corrections

4) Demand Monitoring Controlling:

– Maintain and report Demand Planning KPIs, such as forecast accuracy and bias

– Periodic monitoring of planned sales vs actual sales in business; creating dashboards with sales internal teams to monitor progress and take corrective actions if/where needed

Qualifications

1) Minimum 5+ years work experience in Demand Planning

2) Graduation in Engineering/ Graduation in Commerce / Master s in Supply Chain or Demand Planning

3) Strong communication Interpersonal skills as role requires interdepartmental interactions (ie: with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing etc.)

4) Strong Analytical Skills, Excel knowledge and knowledge of stat Forecasting etc.
