Job Description

Maersk Crewing is responsible for ensuring that over 300 Maersk vessels flying various flags are always manned with competent crew while complying with various international regulations and company procedures.
Crewing operations are run out of Mumbai, Singapore, and Copenhagen while supported byMarine People Teams based in Europe, India and the Philippines.
You will contribute as a high-performing member of the team responsible for carrying out assigned operational duties and tasks in the function of crewing operations.
You will also drive regular process reviews and improvement in the crew operations process.

Show More Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Crew Manager for Maersk, you will be based in Mumbai.
You will be responsible for independent management of daily operational responsibilities pertaining to crew operations, including:
Being responsible for assignments for Cadets, Junior and Senior Deck as well as Engineer Officers, and Electrical Engineers for Maersk fleet flying various flags.
Planning, organizing, and monitoring activities related to crew request requirements of Maersk with reference to the E2E Crewing Business Process Guide.
Plan crew changes and coordinate with concerned parties for its effective implementation.
Working with Crew Operations team in other locations in ensuring that all Maersk vessels are manned as per requirement.
Promptly ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements, SOPs and Key Performance Indicators.
Implementing selection, embarkation, and disembarkation procedures/flights as reflected in the SOPs and the accountability matrix.Updating crew data in the official database system (MAPS)
Performance of responsibilities and tasks in line with what constitutes as good performance as per agreed satisfactory performance standards and metrics (e.g.Objectives and Key Performance Indicators or KPIs)
Process efficiency, driving and contributing to regular process reviews to increase the efficiency of the team
Service delivery improvement, providing progress of the activities performed
Achieve customer satisfaction, reflecting in formal review channels such as the customersatisfaction survey and weekly meetings/performance review meetings.

The ideal candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s/college degree, Business Studies/Administration/Management combined with preferably 8+ years of experience specializing in manning/crewing or equivalent.
Possess a strong natural drive for results, excellent stakeholder management skills.
Possess a proactive and positive attitude, enthusiasm and ability to cooperate in an always open and constructive manner.
Can plan and execute in a structured manner, which is critical to succeed in the position.
Can interact in an international setting as well as communicating efficiently in English,which is critical.
Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Are a strong team player, adaptable to change, comfortable with ambiguity, self motivated and enjoy delivering high performance.
