Role Overview:
Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models.
Evaluating existing data systems.
Working with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows.
Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.
Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.
Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models.
Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.
Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
Troubleshooting and optimizing data systems.

This is a remote position in India. We will only consider candidates currently in India and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.
About the role:

You will work with DevOps, Architecture, Product Management, Engineering, Customer Experience, Security, and other groups across the organization
You will follow a collaborative process with data architects and peers to find innovative solutions to group specific business problems.
Work with the business intelligence team to gather requirements for the database design and model
Understand the data needs of the company or partner
Collaborate with the development team to design and build the database model
Engage the development team to implement the database
Determine the business needs for data reporting requirements
Adjust access to the data and the reports as needed
Understand the company’s data migration needs
Work with the development team to implement the migration
Work with data architects to determine metadata querying requirements
Help to implement the querying, and determine and manage data cleaning requirements
Help determine data security needs and implement security solutions
About you:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related fields preferred
7+ Years’ Experience with SQL/NoSQL database technologies like Postgres, SQL Server, Cassandra
Expert level hands-on experience in a cloud-based database engineering ecosystem like AWS, Azure or GCP
Knowledge of ER modeling, big data, enterprise data, and physical data models
Familiarity with data modeling software such as ERWin, ER/Studio, DbSchema, ERBuilder, Power Designer,
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good technical communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
