Role Summary:

We are looking for Asia Pacific Project Procurement Director to manage the end to end Procurement for Asia Pacific – Global Customer Projects Operations (39 people around the APAC region India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Australia & New Zealand, 200 M sales) is an entity/ Line of Business dedicated to pre-sales activities & projects execution in the Process Automation business. Our main mission is to master and grow large, complex and international turkey projects for APAC and global accounts and targeted customers in various business segment.

Mission

Is primarily a key business enabler for customer projects, being accountable for end to end Project Procurement performance for the APAC and Global businesses

Manage operationally the end-to-end Project Procurement in a Customer Projects Region, including Participation in Business review, Pre-sales resale support, Sourcing/Purchasing (IntraGroup & OutsideGroup/ Resale) in project execution, Strategy Planning, Export Control, Forecasting & Logistics/ Packaging.

Drive the performance of Project Procurement organization for several Hubs, RACs and other Application/cabinet integration Centers within the region and secure reporting of performance and initial key performance indicators to help to drive the business grow and saving

Contribute to the Project business excellence by optimization of Project Procurement through the Tailored/customized Project Procurement approach. Provide purchased goods and services on the best available parameters of cost, time, quality, safety and sustainability, and ensure that the specific added value is recognized by the customers.
Develop a team with resale capability to secure best competitive cost from key suppliers to support the pre-sales win rates to increase our installed base to the grow the business.

Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with Project and Tender management to create customized purchasing proposals at Tender and Execution stages. Secure supplier selection and qualification on a Total Cost of Ownership basis, to meet customers needs, using best skills and technology while minimizing cost and maximizing service levels.
Assess risks on the upstream and downstream supply chain, contribute to mitigation plan with suppliers (IntraGroup/ OutsideGroup/Resale) and execute the associated action plans. Contract T&C s with suppliers (Back to Back clauses) and ensure that a proper flow down of customer T&Cs is negotiated with the suppliers including applying the right RACI model to the Sub-contractors
During execution, maximize the leverage of the contract to protect Schneider Electric and generate additional savings and ensure efficient supply of materials & services for the projects.
Manage recurrent and non-recurrent, non-standard purchases with diverse scopes and technology, with proper processes and tools. Focus on specialization in non-standard purchase methodology and ensure that supplies are available as per Project needs.
Leverage strategic sourcing through commodity management and partnership. Perform supplier management by establishing and maintaining positive relationships with potential, current, and former suppliers, both domestic and overseas.
Ensure for both Selling and Execution phases, full compliance of Supply Chain involvement with CPP (RITE process, gate review ). If required, take part in major opportunities/projects gate reviews.
Create effective logistics flow design at Selling stage and ensure that planning and scheduling is optimized vis a vis the Project Management needs
Anticipate any impact of customer changes on supplier delivery to avoid inventory and cash issues, and from supplier deviation on customer schedule to avoid penalties. Monitor and control the changes and claims during execution, to minimize the risk and secure and/or improve the project margin, while optimizing the impact on the Project cash curve.
Create Purchasing strategy based on business strategy business grow and outcome
Create an effective Purchasing policy and review and update periodically to make it relevant.
Provide factory with loading forecast from Sales & Project team to allow factory advance materials planning
Ensure Export Control compliance is in place during Pre-sale & project execution stage
Issue Purchase Orders, conduct scheduling and follow the deliveries. Perform goods receipt (generating revenue recognition), organize shipment based on incoterms and import/export clearances with service providers. Manage on site inventory/stock management/ Site work means management to support Site commissioning.

Desired Candidate Profile:
Preferably Master s Degree (Engineering and/or Supply Chain & Logistics) at least a tertiary education
Professional Supply Chain Certification (CPSM, ISM ) is a plus
An Overall experience of 18+ yeras and a minimum 5 years of Project Procurement experience and 10 years in EPC Customer Project environment
Strong people management skills, in multi cultures, multi sites environment.
Ability to adopt and agile to changes and implement change
Ability to collaborate, influence & convince in a complex matrix organization
English fluency is a must, a second language is appreciated.
