Job Description
Summary
This role has the responsibilities to design, develop, test and maintain frameworks that help Development Engineering teams accelerate their development deliverables with high quality. In this role, you will support the development effort for configuration management, development and automated testing frameworks along with other tools that aid in the development engineering process. This position will also provide Oracle and PostgreSQL DBA support and enhance the code build process with CI/CD functionality.
Job Responsibilities
tCode and unit test an application from detailed design specifications, within an Agile framework
tFacilitate or attend internal and external technical overviews and determine technical feasibility
tAssist in the requirements phase for projects
tCreate agile stories from high-level requirements utilizing Object Oriented or Structured Methods that contain items such as low-leveling state machine diagrams, common procedural definitions, database design elements
tIntegration testing across interfacing functional groups
tProvide technical guidance on various development support engineering tools and frameworks through the development phases of projects
tDocument release notes detailing the implementation process according to company procedures
tAssist operations with implementation of an applications Oracle or PostgreSQL DB components of the applications
tResearch and recommend new technology, methodologies to help increase overall efficiencies of the development engineering process
Qualifications
tBachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
t7+ years experience in a development environment
tStrong working experience of Agile software design processes and methods
tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
tExperience with Integrated Development Environments and design patterns
tStrong experience in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab, ANT and Maven
tStrong experience using test automation frameworks i.e. Rest Assured, Cucumber, FitNesse, TestNG, Selenium and Robotic framework
tStrong experience with Source Code Management like Gitlab
tStrong DBA experience in Oracle and PostgreSQL DBs
tAbility to work independently, as well as within a team.
tExcellent written and oral communication skills
tWorking knowledge of SQL
tDemonstrated ability to create a successful application automation test suites that are sustainable and extensive.
tDemonstrated ability to deliver quality software on time
tWork with a sense of urgency and positive attitude
tAbility to balance multiple priorities
